Hey guys Bill here. What is my is my staple breakfast most mornings of the week? You could call this my trainer on the go, too busy to juice, green smoothie.
Dr Oz, one of my favorite guys juices every morning and I endorse that philosophy as well. I like to start the day with a big hit of anti-oxidants, vitamins, and minerals for the myriad of performance and health benefits they provide. We’re talking tons of phyto chemicals, and free radical fighters to boost recovery, improve immune function, accelerate tissue repair, provide prophylactic anti-carcinogenic properties, provide tons of fiber, supercharge energy levels and make you feel like a million bucks.
So here is my secret formula for this magic elixir vitae.
1 cup Naked Green or Green Goodness
I cup water
1 cup fresh broccoli florets
½ cup frozen blueberries
½ cup raw whole almonds
2 scoops Syntha 6 vanilla protein powder
I really don’t measure ingredients anymore, as long as your frugal with the juice you can load up on the other ingredients ( yes, even the nuts ) with impunity. Just mush all this stuff into a big blender and grind it up. I like the almond and vegetable particles right in the mix rather than juicing because I like the texture and body it provides not to mention the fiber and roughage. This concoction is about 50 grams of protein total and about ten zillion calories. I don’t worry about the calories at all, I just sip this over the course of a couple hours between my early sessions.
